The Toyota Alphard is currently unavailable for purchase. Sussex Campervans are no longer producing a campervan conversion based on the Alphard. While there were a number of items that led to this decision, many of out clients favoured it’s biggest Japanese rival, the Nissan Elgrand.
The Elgrand shares the same luxury MPV heritage, smooth petrol engine options (2.5L 4-cylinder or 3.5L V6), automatic transmission, and car-like driving feel.
3-Year Warranty
All our camper vans come with our 3-year warranty on both the vehicle and campervan interior.
The Florida is a high-end, low budget alternative suitable for families who want the campervan lifestyle at an affordable price, based on the Toyota Alphard. With the same high-end finish as our Manhattan and Caledonia models, you will get the same luxury for a family-friendly price.
The Toyota Alphard is an easy-to-drive people carrier which is ideal for a campervan conversion. With the addition of a pop-top roof, swivelling rear seats and a kitchenette complete with gas hob, sink and cool box, the Florida packs everything you need for a luxury family holiday in a camper.
With plenty of space for all the family, seating 5 people for travel and sleeping up to 4 adults in the two double beds (one in the pop top roof and one across the folding rear seats), you’ll love exploring in the Alphard.
TOYOTA ALPHARD ENGINE AND RELIABILITY
At Sussex Campervans we import the Florida base vehicles directly from Japan. This means that even second hand or slightly older Alphard campers still come with reliable and well maintained engines. In the video above, you can see just how efficient and well looked after they are. All our vehicles are given a full warranty and are fully registered in the UK so that they can be legally driven on the roads.
Underneath the bonnet of a high-end Toyota Alphard camper conversion you can find either a 4 cylinder 2.4 litre or a V6 3 litre engine. Both engines have their own sets of pros and cons. While the 2.4 litre engine has cheaper maintenance costs and is overall more affordable, if you’re looking for something more powerful to haul your van filled with camping equipment up a hill, then the V6 3 litre engine is a must have. It all depends on what you’re looking to use your camper for.

We give a 12-month warranty on the vehicle (if it is not covered by the manufacturer's warranty) & 36-month warranty on our conversion work, for your complete peace of mind. You can extend this for a further 3 years for a small premium.
Keeping you on the road
We offer a complete servicing and repair package, as well as your annual habitation check.
Winterising your campervan
Using your campervan all year round is the best way to keep it in good condition. But if you know it will be parked up for a while we can prepare the water and heating systems for winter to ensure you can make a quick getaway in the spring!
