The Industry Leading Electric Camper
Exclusive to Sussex Campervans
A Potential New Chapter
The Kia PV5 has already shown why a dedicated electric van platform can make such a compelling base for a campervan: a low floor, excellent use of interior space and a vehicle designed as an EV from the outset.
The PV7 is the next step in Kia’s Platform Beyond Vehicle range. Kia describes it as its second PBV and a large electric panel van, designed to build on the PV5 with significantly more space and advanced software-based solutions.
For us, the interesting question is simple: what could all that extra room make possible as a Sussex Campervan?
Following the arrival of our Kia PV5 Kingfisher, we’re already looking at what this larger purpose-built electric platform could make possible for a future Sussex Campervans conversion.
This is an early preview. Sussex Campervans PV7 conversion production specifications have not yet been confirmed.
What Kia Has Confirmed
Planned launch: June 2027
Vehicle type: Large 100% electric PBV / panel van
Concept dimensions: 5,350 mm long, 1,995 mm wide and 1,990 mm high
Concept wheelbase: 3,500 mm
Positioning: Larger than the PV5, with the greatest cargo space in Kia’s announced professional electric van line-up
Kia says the PV7 will inherit the foundations of the PV5 while adding greater space and more advanced software-based services.
Why the PV7 Could Make an Exceptional Campervan
The PV7 is around 5.35 metres long. That additional footprint could create opportunities for a more generous kitchen, larger beds, more storage and a spacious living area while retaining the advantages of a purpose-built electric platform.
Kia’s PBV architecture is designed around a low floor and flexible body configurations. In campervan terms, that could be particularly valuable: more of the vehicle’s overall size can potentially become useful living space rather than being dictated by a conventional combustion-engine layout.
The height being under 2 meters, also means that there is opportunity for the developments of a premium pop-top conversion.
Nothing about a Sussex Campervans PV7 layout is final at this stage. But the platform has caught our attention, and our experience developing the Kia PV5 Kingfisher gives us a strong foundation from which to explore what a larger Kia electric camper could become.
What will the PV& Camper Conversion look like?
Our Kia PV5 Kingfisher brings Sussex Campervans’ experience in clever, comfortable campervan design to Kia’s dedicated electric PBV platform. The larger PV7 could give us an entirely new canvas.
We’re following the vehicle’s development closely as Kia works towards its planned 2027 launch. If the production vehicle is right for campervan conversion, we’d love to explore what comes next.

Rear Kitchen — Paradise Inspired
The PV7’s larger footprint could create the opportunity for a spacious rear-kitchen layout inspired by our Paradise range, with generous living space and a comfortable long-distance touring setup.
Side Kitchen — A Larger Kingfisher?
Another possibility is to take the proven side-kitchen thinking of our Kia PV5 Kingfisher and explore what the additional PV7 space could unlock — more storage, more room to relax and an even more capable electric campervan.
